Long Arm Quilting

Why I Do It

The love of Long arm quilting is what started it all at Peak to Prairie Quilting. For years I admired the local long arm artists and dreamed of setting up my own studio! Even before I was able to realize this dream, I cultivated my skills and interest by teaching Handi Quilter long arm classes and quilting store samples at a local quilt store.

As I start each project I search for the perfect feel for your quilt. Every quilt tells a story with it's combination of fabrics and design, and I look for just the right pattern and thread to help complete this story. I often design a new design if I can't find that 'just right' one.  Over the years I have found some customers like to be involved in the decision making process and others prefer to hand it over to someone they trust to add the final flourish to their quilt. I am happy to work closely with my customers on these decisions and also feel honored when I'm entrusted solely with this responsibility.

Lets Get Started!

All quilting is done on a Gammill Optimum equipped with a Statler Stitcher. Both computer generated and hand guided designs are used.  I mainly carry So Fine #50, Signature Thread, and Bottom Line threads. MonoPoly is frequently used for SID(Stitch in the ditch).

Many of my  best customers are from across the country. I happily accept shipped quilts and offer USPS or UPS return shipments. Quilts are carefully packaged when shipped back to you. Tracking is a must. Extra insurance is purchased at the customer's request.

I keep a selection of batting on hand for customer convenience.  Batting can either be purchased from me or supplied by the customer.  Contact me to discuss which batting is right for your quilt and what is currently in inventory.
